
The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-8, 4-11) dropped a hard-fought 7-6 defeat to the Piggott Mohawks in nine innings in nonconference action at Piggott on April 14.

The cast of "Hairspray the Musical", by BHS Drama Department members, was performed April 8-10 to fantastic reviews. The director was Scott Ferrell, and assisting were Michelle Green and Brea McCain.


The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-8, 0-11) fell to Caruthersville 27-0 on April 13 at the Sportsplex, and the JV Lady Chickasaws were defeated by the JV Lady Tigers 9-1.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-8, 4-10) could not do anything at the Sportsplex against Batesville, losing a pair of AAAAA-East games to the Pioneers 21-0 and 14-0 on April 12.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-8, 0-10) were thoroughly dominated by Batesville in two AAAAA-East games 17-0 and 19-0 at the Sportsplex on April 12.

The Harlem Wizards basketball exhibition will be April 11 at the BHS Gym. Sponsored by the Blytheville Parent-Teacher organizations, doors open at 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets to the game are $10 each.

Blytheville Elementary School's "Muffins with Mom" parental involvement activity will be April 8 inside the cafeteria beginning at 1:30 p.m. All mothers of BES students are encouraged to attend.

The Blytheville Chickasaws' nonconference game on April 7 at Hayti was postponed because of wet field conditions.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-6, 0-8) fell at Cooter on April 7 to the Lady Wildcats 14-10 in nonconference action.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-6, 0-7) remained winless on the season after suffering 15-1 and 18-1 conference defeats to Nettleton on April 5 at the Sportsplex.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-4 AAAAA-East, 4-6 overall) lost to Caruthersville 4-2 in seven innings at the Sportsplex on April 4.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-4 AAAAA-East, 0-5 overall) lost at East Poinsett County 15-0 in non-conference play on April 4.

The third quarter awards assemblies at the Blytheville Elementary School cafeteria will be March 29 beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the final assembly will be at 2 p.m.

Spring break for the Blytheville School District's students will be March 21-25, and regular class schedules will resume Monday morning, March 28.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-2 AAAAA-East, 4-3 overall) got back on the winning track on March 17 at the Sportsplex, silencing Fulton County, Ky., 13-3 in five innings.
