CPAD graduation was held in Jonesboro, Thursday night. BHS had 25 seniors to receive an IPAD from ASU. Way to go seniors....hard work and persistence pay off!! #chicksrock

Members of the BHS Student Council recently manned the phones for the St. Jude Telethon held at the high school. These students helped the event raise over $201,000 for the children at St. Jude. #chickasawsserve

Tonight's PTO meeting is postponed until next Thursday night, March 9th at 6:00. It will be held in the library and we hope you make plans to attend.

The ANC Tech Center competed in the NEA Weld-a-thon at ASU Newport on Thursday, February 23rd. The Tech Center team competed against 18 teams and won 2nd place. Each student won a $750 scholarship to ASU Newport, and the team won a fume extractor and chop saw for the Tech Center Welding Department. We are proud of them for representing us, and for their hard work!

Mr. Scott Ferrell, BHS's theatre teacher, took a group last week to the Arkansas State Thespian Festival. Two of our students, Maddie Hixson and Lizzie Langston, received All-State Cast awards, and Ja'nesiha Lewis received an All-State Crew Award.

SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE APPROACHING
Tenaris Merit Award applications for juniors and seniors are DUE THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17. Students that meet the requirements will need to fill out the application that was emailed to you. Each year Tenaris awards 15 senior scholarships worth $1,500 each, and 10 junior scholarships worth $750 each.

Sheldon Allen and his mom, Stacy Gibson, were the winners of the 32" flatscreen TV given away today at the BHS Parent/Teacher Conferences. Congratulations!!
