State and Federal guidelines require that all special education due process forms and records be destroyed within six (6) years after a student leaves the school district's special education or speech therapy program. The parent or legal guardian has the right to view and obtain his or her child’s due process records, which are available at the Blytheville School District’s Administration Building each Monday through Thursday, 9 AM until 3 PM. The records which are not picked up by the parents or legal guardians of these Blytheville School District students will be destroyed July 28, 2022. These records are not your child’s permanent school records, but only the special education due process forms and records. You may contact Seane Clifton, the district’s Interim Special Education Director, at 762-2053 Ext. 1028 with any questions or concerns about these records.
