The Blytheville Middle School eighth grade Junior Chickasaws (2-7) on Jan. 24 won at Brookland 22-21, and the seventh grade Junior Chickasaws (2-6) lost to the Junior Bearcats 38-30.

The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws (5-4, 5-9) on Jan. 18 lost at Highland 38-33 in 4A Conference 3 play, and the Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-9, 1-13) were defeated by the Junior Lady Rebels 39-9.
The Blytheville School District will be closed Jan. 21 in honor of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Regular class schedules will resume Tuesday morning, Jan. 22.
The Blytheville Middle School seventh grade Junior Chickasaws (2-5) on Jan. 17 defeated Wynne 49-17 at the BHS Gym, and the seventh grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (2-4) won against the Junior Lady Yellowjackets 22-12.
The Blytheville Chickasaws (6-2, 11-4) on Jan. 15 exacted a measure of revenge on Valley View in 4A Conference 3 action, taking down the Blazers 60-53 at the BHS Gym.
The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws (5-3, 5-8) on Jan. 15 were defeated in their 4A Conference 3 rematch at the BHS Gym by Valley View 57-38, and the “B” Chickasaws (7-0) continued their torrid play by edging the JV Blazers 31-30 in the first game.
BHS softball tryouts will be THIS Thursday starting at 3:30 and ending around 4:45. Everyone should be dressed to workout and prepared to go outside. No jeans or khaki pants. Bring your glove.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (1-7, 3-14) on Jan. 14 lost in their upset bid at the BHS Gym against Valley View, falling to the Lady Blazers 37-33 in 4A Conference 3 action.
The Blytheville Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-8, 1-12) on Jan. 14 were defeated by Valley View 37-4 in the 4A Conference 3 at the BHS Gym, and the Blytheville Middle School 7th grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (1-4) earned their first triumph, defeating the Junior Lady Blazers 15-11.
The Blytheville Chickasaws (5-2, 10-4) on Jan. 11 totally annihilated Batesville Southside 63-31 in 4A Conference 3 action at the BHS Gym, and the Lady Chickasaws (1-6, 3-13) ended a lengthy losing streak by beating the Lady Southerners 50-40.
The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws (5-2, 5-7) on Jan. 11 were too much for Batesville Southside, winning 57-34 at the BHS Gym in 4A Conference 3 play. The Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-7, 1-11) fell to Southside 46-8 in the first game.
The Blytheville Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-6, 1-10) on Jan. 8 lost at Brookland 44-4, and the Blytheville Middle School seventh grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-4) were defeated by the Junior Lady Bearcats 20-10.
The Blytheville Chickasaws (4-2, 9-4) on Jan. 7 had enough to hold off the Brookland Bearcats 45-41 at Brookland in 4A Conference 3 action, and the “B” Chickasaws polished off the JV Bearcats 52-32 to improve to 6-0.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (3-2, 8-4) on Jan. 4 returned to their winning ways by overpowering Batesville 66-38 in Conference 3 4A activity at the BHS Gym. The Lady Chickasaws (0-5, 2-12) lost to the Lady Pioneers 61-31.
The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws (4-1, 4-6) on Jan. 4 outlasted Batesville 42-38 at the BHS Gym in the first game of the new year, and the Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-5, 1-9) were defeated by the Junior Lady Pioneers 44-2.
The Blytheville Chickasaws (2-2, 7-4) on Dec. 27 fell in the final seconds to Jonesboro Westside 59-58 in the second round of the Northeast Arkansas Tournament at Jonesboro.
