Important News About 2019-2020 School Registration:
In order to save time, parents will be able to look on the school website to print off a registration form to fill out and bring to the school.
NEW STUDENTS;
July 17 & 18th- 8:00 to 3:00 - Counselors' Office
New student registration (this includes students who dropped/moved and want to return). Student must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
RETURNING STUDENTS;
12th graders - July 22nd
11th graders - July 23rd
10th graders - July 24th
9th graders - July 25th
8:00 - 3:00 -Library
Returning students can pre-register, pick up schedule, pick up computer, etc. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Schedules will not be given out without the pre-registration process being completed.

Members of Mr. Garcia's Financial Literacy class had a fun time today playing "Financial Jeopardy" against a few of the faculty members. Faculty members proved to be a little too tough for the students in 2 of the 3 games, but the students definitely did a great job!!
A shout out to Mr. Sandy Gillespie for treating BHS faculty to donuts!! We sure appreciate all your support for our district!!
BHS staff said goodbye Thursday to one of our favorite coaches, Coach Harriet Jumper , as she retires after many years in the district. You will be missed!!

The teachers and faculty appreciate your kindness!!
A huge shout out to Mr. Swenson, Ms. Cross, and Chief Cook, Larry Miller, for the wonderful meal that was prepared Monday evening in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week. It was delicious!!!
Special thanks to BHS alumni Briceson Williams, Ja’Len Sorrells and Jeremy Swift for congratulating a few of our Seniors. Each student was randomly selected and received a Hibbett gift card! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!
Would You Like to be a Teacher?
Sharon Coburn, the Teacher and Recruitment and Retention Facilitator for the Crowley's Ridge Educational Service Cooperative, is partnering with us to host a "Becoming A Teacher" session on ANC's campus to help with the severe teacher shortage in Arkansas. The purpose of this session is to encourage people to go into a career in teaching. ANC Education Director Ryan Perkins will be encouraging prospective teachers to enroll in ANC's teacher education program, and Sharon will be explaining the alternative teacher licensing routes to individuals who already have a bachelor's degree. The event will be Wednesday, May 8th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Community Room in the Center for Allied Technologies. Please feel free to share this information and the attached flyer with anyone who may be interested!
Congratulations to Laurissa Campbell for being named the 2019 Tenaris Senior Student of the Year. Laurissa will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship to obtain a degree in a STEM related field. We are proud of you Laurissa!

ATTENTION:
The BHS Athletic Banquet is May 6, 2019 for all athletes,including cheer and dance teams, 9th-12th. The times are as follows:
6:00 pm- Dinner for athletes and coaches only. BHS (Northside) Cafeteria.
6:45 pm- Awards Ceremony - BHS Auditorium. Parents, family, and friends are all invited and urged to attend.
Attention SENIORS!!
BHS seniors will receive their three senior walk tickets (with purchase of their prom ticket!) this week. Senior walk begins at 8:00pm on Saturday April 27th at the Blytheville Primary Multipurpose Building...the last day to buy tickets is the 24th and they are now 25 dollars.
